Best Eco Friendly Cat Litter Dust

👤I thoroughly disliked this product when I reviewed it a long time ago because of the tracking and scooping issues. I still don't like the problems. I wanted to submit a new one because I couldn't find my old one. I like this stuff very much after several months. I'm currently using World's Best and Swheat Scoop. Arm & Hammer's corn-base litter was disappointing, and I found Blue Buffalo litter a bit heavy on the side, and the odor control wasn't as good as it could have been. There is a There are pros and cons to odor control. Wow. Some of the best I've encountered are either natural, clay or unnatural. It works well with heavy masking scents. I use World's Best in two of the boxes and Oko in the other. After 3-4 weeks, the first two boxes need to be emptied completely. While I've been away, I've gone as long as 4-5 days without scooping. After 5 days, the Oko smells like World's Best or Swheat. There is dust. There isn't any. I notice this when I clean my litter boxes. There was no dust around the box. I thought the other natural litters were good for dust, but this is the best. The weight. Fantastic. The containers are light and easy to handle, even though I have a bad back. I like the cardboard containers over the plastic bags. I have an Oko subscription and I am happy now that I have package delivery people. Oko litter can be dumped out of the box and carried with less trouble than other lightweight litters. Quality control is important. I have had batches of both World's Best and Swheat. The corn and wheat products are attractive to rodents. They don't seem interested in wood. There is a Clumping is ok but not the tightest on the planet. There is a texture. It's not the same. I would mix litters for a few weeks and then continue with the Oko litter. They don't seem to prefer the other litters when they are given the choice between boxes. There are environmental issues. I don't know how this compares to other options. Corn subsidies and wheat are problematic for me. I don't know enough about the Oko production process to evaluate its impact on the environment, or any potential dangers to pets or humans during its creation or use. There are pros and cons to tracking. It's not a particularly trackable litter, but the problem is that it consists of large particles that are painful to bare feet, and you don't want the stuff anywhere near your bed. I find a lot of it sticking to my long-haired cat's backside since I'm not using the long-haired breed version. I ordered a box of the long-haired version and will review it later. Scooping. You might need to replace your litter scoop. The large particles are too large to fit through the fine scoops. There is a This is the best wood litter I've tried. 👤I would be careful with this one. My cat started having weird coughing fits after changing to this litter. A few hundred dollars at the vet. She will likely be on anti- inflammatory medications the rest of her life after it was determined that the small particles in the lightweight litter triggered her to develop asthma. The vet said that it's highly unlikely that she developed it without atrigger, and that this was the only change to the house before she developed symptoms. It was nice to have it lighter, but it wasn't worth my cat's health. I would not have switched if I knew this was a possibility. The damage is done and can't be reversed, so I switched back to using the regular weight litter.

My friend who does housecleaning for me has commented that there is less litter. She thought I might have been cleaning it up before she got here. It is clumping. Even though my cat's blood sugars are controlled, she drinks and urinates a lot, so even after one day, there are large clumps of litter from her urine. I used other clumping litters that didn't work as well and my cat would track wet clumps of litter all over my floor and it would be caked on her feet and between her toes.

Amazon doesn't check on the quality of the products it's sending out due to the massive inventory and volume of sales and this particular product already has high ratings so this company can cut some costs and sell the bad quality litter through Amazon every now and then. If someone noticed the bad quality, they can chuck it. This is a trend, read through the comments.

There is a The brand claims that the crystals are low- tracking and don't stick to pet's paws, but I find little blue crystals all over my house and sometimes in my bed. These crystals don't have a scent, but they do nothing to cover the smell. I switch out for a new box every 1.5-2 weeks. The laundry room is always smelling of urine. Cleanup is a disaster because of this. I have to wear gloves, I have to tape the corners of the box shut, and I have to clean up urine every time I switch boxes. The more I type, the more I feel like I've been using this product for 3 years. It's a shame. This second solution is finding another solution.

If you want the legit version from your local Petsmart or Petco, please do not buy from this seller. Think about your kitty's health before you spend money. I will not buy cat litter again from Amazon sellers.

The same cat that pees like two cats has the most stinky poops I've ever had the displeasure of smelling, and despite all the other cat litters saying it had odor control, this one comes closest. I dislike the perfumed scent of this litter, but I am now able to overlook it because it actually does the job, even though I tried to stay away from litter that had that gross perfumed scent. The cats like the feel of this litter because they cover their turds completely, which eliminates the smell. I used to use a "Clump and Seal" type of litter, but it was almost too clumping, so I needed a jackhammer to get it out of the pan. This litter doesn't require any power tools to scoop. I thought I'd try the unscented one, but it ended up costing me hundreds of dollars in vet fees, and I didn't know it. The formula makes my cat very sick, and it breaks apart very easily, making it worse than the multi-cat one. It all around is terrible. I am happy that Amazon is allowing me to return it since it is a 2 box deal and I can't keep my kitty from it.

👤I found two kittens 8 months ago, I am not a cat person. They were so small that they were about 4 or 5 weeks old. I almost ran them over with my car, so I couldn't leave them outside. I brought them home to find a home. I fell in love. My fur babies are part of my family. I have been through a lot of smelly litter box issues. I have used several different types of litter and stayed using tidy cat for a long time because I thought it was the best one in consideration with the others but even after sifting and constantly deodorizing the litter boxes for my cats the smell was intolerable. I put the litter boxes on my balcony, but it left me with a stinky balcony, and I bought a kitty door for my sliding glass doors. I spent a lot of money on litter because I had to replace it every 3 to 4 days because the smell would be so bad I had to change the whole litter often. I went to my friend's house and saw her cat but didn't smell a litter box. I was jealous that she had cats with no litter. I was sold after she showed me this litter. She said she changes the litter once a month or sometimes once every two months. There is a I put the big bag to use the next day. It has been a week and no one has spoken. I am amazed at how well this litter works. It holds the smell even though they have feces and urine in it. I don't smell anything while I am sifting it. This stuff is very good. It clumps just fine, I don't know, why other reviews say that it doesn't, I guess you have to wait and give the urine a chance to hardened before sifting. My cats have white paws when they are done using the litter, but they have red paws when they use the litter. I wouldn't say that it causes red paws. Why would their paws be wet? 👤I received 37 lbs. There are two boxes of Fresh Step Clean Paws Advanced clumping cat litter for review. I decided to remove what was left of my current litter in order to start fresh with the Fresh Step, because I have 2 large litter boxes for one large cat. There was a cloud of dust when I poured the Fresh Step into the boxes. I was disappointed that the litter was advertised as being dust free. It settled quickly. I have not experienced any dust since, holding true to the nearly dust free claims. The scent of this litter is pleasant. Really nice. It is pleasant and clean, but not overwhelming, and lasts throughout the use of the litter. The ability to clump is amazing. I don't have any issues with clumps sticking as I remove them each day. The litter is very low to no tracking. There is virtually no litter spread beyond the area with a good sized mat under each box. I've never experienced this with any other brand. The weight of the 37 lbs. It lasted about a month for one cat. This is the litter I want. I just bought another 37 lbs. Highly recommended.

👤I have used litters with my cats before, but this one was the worst. They say it doesn't track, but it only doesn't track because it goes to the bottom of the litter box with a lot of water. It didn't absorb anything, it didn't clump, and it didn't dry out waste like other litters do. I had to replace the litter more often because I had to chisel the cat waste out of the box. I have two adult cats and use large boxes, not like they share one small box. I'm going back to the place where I was born.

👤I live in a tiny apartment and I love this litter. The cat likes it. I scoop the entire box every day. The litter is spent once. I dump the trash into the dumpster. I can see some things sticking to the box. I use hot water, bleach and a toilet bowl brush to wash it out. I rinse well, flush the water down the toilet, and the few grains of litter don't bother me. I wouldn't flush large amounts because they would cause a sewer system problem. I change litter every few weeks. If the litter is getting older, I use Arm and Hammer Double Duty Litter Deodorizer. I like that the litter is delivered to my door, it's a lot less cumbersome. I think it's pretty good.

👤I'll update if I find any. I didn't know that cat litter could be so effective. I got a cat recently and after a lot of research, I decided to use Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Cat Litter. Don't get me wrong, that stuff is great. This is better. I noticed the Dr. Elsey's tracked a decent amount, even with a litter mat, but I didn't know anything better. The special litter box smell is still noticeable, even though Dr. Elsey's does a decent job. Since I keep mine in my bedroom, that wasn't ideal. I could smell and feel the dust in the air when my kitty used the box, though it was supposed to be low to no dust. I thought I had to live with it. No, no. I tried this because so many people said it smelled good. I can only smell it when I pour or scoop it. I'd still encourage you to try it, even if you don't like it. It's a faint smell. I expected a cloud of dust when I poured it, but it was not there. Absolutely none. I don't have asthma but I am sensitive to dust and particles in the air and this didn't bother me. Dust or smell are not present when kitty uses the box. It's more of a sand consistency, which surprised me. The litter I used before was larger and more dense. I like this better because it's easier to scoop. The other stuff wasn't hard to scoop, but it was more messy than this.
