Best Eco Friendly Notebook Recycled

👤I don't use a fountain pen. If you use a fountain pen, you may need virgin fiber. I use gel pens. The Mead GRAD notebook was an outstanding product, but these seem to replace it. The covers are attractive, but not as glossy as the GRAD was. If your notebook is important to you, the twin-wire binding is a very good feature. The cover needs a little more sheen, but everything else feels good.

👤After more than a year of use, I'm increasing my review of this journal to five stars because it held up well despite the price increase. I'm convinced that the cover is cork, because of how it wore over the course of the year. I'm adding a couple photos to show the wear on the old journal and the new one. I've been using this with Zebra gel pens and Zebra midliners and there is very little bleed through. I don't think the pen loop is necessary, and sometimes get in my way, but they aren't annoying enough to make me look for a new journal. All in all, is this a good deal? ... I've been looking for a journal for my next year's planner and I've been considering buying one for a long time. I decided I wanted a journal that was more affordable and still had a lot of pages, and this one seemed to fit that bill. I'm satisfied with my purchase after it arrived. The paper is thick, the book is light and it seems like a good value when you consider the introductory price. The pen loop is not a selling point for me, my most used pen is not big enough to fit so I won't use that much. The bookmark is a nice touch. The paper is heavy and I wish the pages were numbered. If you need loose paper, why not get something cheaper than this journal, which has only a few at the back? The perforations don't seem to affect me much, though they are a bit farther from the binding than I expected. Also the cover. There is a question about whether or not it is cork. It is a nice idea, but it looks like a heavy paperboard printed with a cork pattern and weathered in some way. You can make your own judgements, even though the cover looks like paper to me. I wonder how it will wear over time, but I don't care about this part. I didn't give this journal 5 stars because of that. I'll probably look at another option when the time comes, since I'm happy with this purchase, but the price has gone up.

Microplastics, which are actually worse for the environment, are left behind by bags that are not compostable at home, so they may break down into smaller pieces of plastic. Since they cannot be composted at home, they are not as safe as other types.

👤The Bernese produced a lot of room. They were kept in the screened porch even though they were not bio-degradable because of the humid summer. A bit pricey compared to other bags. It's more difficult to separate one bag from the next on the roll, compared to other bags I've used. It's neutral. They did not do a good job of keeping odors out. I'm going to try other bags to see if I can get something that is easier to use and still has an environmental component. I will return to these bags if I can't.

👤The spiral notebooks are great! The construction is very strong and better than anything I have seen in a store. One notebook has lined pages while the other has dots. It doesn't bleed through to the other side of the page when you write on one side of the page. Writing on both sides of the page is practical. Incredible product!

👤I received the Le Vent journal for myself last year. Been waiting for a refill from the same company. It's not hard to find notebooks that fit the cover, but the refills are both reasonably priced. This comes with a lined notebook and a dotted one. I keep a bullet journal and aplanner, but I don't do a lot of writing. I haven't used either of these yet because they're Christmas presents, but I like that they're spiral bound and the paper is good quality like the notebooks that originally came with the Le Vent journal. I'm happy that they're offering their own refills for the journal, it's great quality and I'm happy they sold it separately. This product and the company are recommended by me.

👤Awesome product. I am a paper snob. I tried using an iPad with apps for writing, but it couldn't replace paper and pen. The notebook is perfect. It's great for carrying around in a small backpack. The cover and paper is very sturdy, which I like to use for various pens. It doesn't bleed through. It is easy to flip pages. The dotted versions are very cool. I used to use a graph paper that had dotted pages that were great for lining up and keeping things straight.

I bought my Northbook in September of 2016 because I wanted to use a very simple, very low stakes bullet journal for college. I decided to go with something that wasn't $20+ because I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it. The paper of the Northbook is of a high quality, there is no bleed through when I use a medium Sharpie pen, and it's portable and minimalist. The pages began to tear after about a month. Almost all of the pages I've used to date have been taped. It's a pity. Even though the Leuchtturm1917 is infinitely more stable and has better features, a part of me still prefers the Northbook. Northbook doesn't give me any bleed through, the pages are thick and the cover is nice. The binding is keeping my review from being 5 stars. Hopefully Northbook will read some of the reviews left on Amazon and incorporate a thread binding instead of just using glue. They would be unbeatable. There is a Northbook is a great alternative to the more expensive brands and it does better than them. Pages will fall out after a month or so of use.

👤I bought this notebook to bridge the gap between November and January, I bought an official Bullet Journal to use in the year. I like the cover of the notebook. I was able to put a pretty graphic on the front because of the small dot grid. This is a made in the USA product. There is a The notebook doesn't lie completely flat, which is my least favorite thing about it. There is a binding that won't open all the way for the book to open and lie flat. Unless I can find a notebook that is comparable to this one, I won't buy it again. I don't think it's a problem. I can see print on the other side of the page, but I can't read what's on the current page. There is a spot where a small amount of pen actually bled through to the other side. I don't use fancy pens or markers so I was surprised my plain writing instruments would come through. I feel this notebook is okay, as indicated by the 3 stars. I would have given it a 4 star if it wasn't for the bleed through. I would have gone up to 5 if it had been flat. There is a revision on 12/9/16. My review will be raised to 5 stars. The flatter the notebook is, the more I use it. I love it. It's nice to write in it and carry it around. The front cover is very nice. It is a common catch phrase. I give it 5 stars because it's for love.

👤I was looking for a Leuchtturm dot grid notebook for bullet journalling, but they were both out of stock, so I found this one. I bought the three pack for my son when I fill it up. There is a This book has a dot grid that I wanted. The grid is large. Not too big or too small. I use a Pilot G-2 0.38 pen and it fits perfectly in the grid. I wanted a soft cover because my purse is small and I carry this thing around with me everywhere, so I didn't want a hardcover taking up precious space or making my purse too bulky. I thought the cover would fall apart easily, but it has stood up, even though I use the book many times a day. It's attached to the pages well. I am not worried about the pages falling out. I can't say that I'm happy with the quality of the pages in the Northbook because I haven't used the Moleskine or Leuchtturm. I use Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens for color and have no issues with bleeding through. I can see the pen on the other side, but not much. There is a The price is right and that's okay. I think a ribbon would make me crazy. I use little post it book marker stickers that barely peek out the side of the book so I can find my important pages quickly. Better than just one ribbon. I have found a way to keep the pages closed with a binder clip, which doubles as a pen holder, despite the fact that it doesn't have an elastic closure. See the pic. The Leuchtturm is wider, which I thought would be nice, but I haven't found a time when I wanted it to be a quarter or half an inch wider, so it's fine. My biggest wish is for more pages. It's nice that the book is small, but I would prefer more pages. Double the pages. That's the only thing that makes me think about other options.

👤The marketing scheme on this is terrible. When you read the fine print, you realize that the product is recycled paper. The cover says 30% post consumer waste. The sheets inside are normal paper and the cardboard covers are 30% post consumer waste. You just paid over 400% more for a "recycled" paper notebook and the sheets inside are probably not even recycled, so you are taking in the fact that you just paid more for a notebook. A wave of realization is what happens when you get tricked.

👤Really disappointed... I used to love these notebooks when I was a student. The paper was thick, smooth, and worked well for note-taking. It was a perfect 5 subject for all the classes I had and it held a lot of papers. The paper is so thin you can see through it. It tears very easily. The front cover is thinner and the pockets are weak. I was going to graduate school and wanted to relive my undergraduate notes. I'll be returning to my other purchase, a high performance colored notebook from Amazon, but still with the Environotes notebook. Those still work well. The price is the same. This product doesn't meet the expectations that I used to have. Their newer versions do.

👤I don't like writing on paper. I do that here. These are excellent. I like the texture of the paper. When writing for long periods of time, it isn't really a problem. It's thicker but not see through. I bought the case because I didn't want to run out of notebooks in my final year of school. I used three for each semester of CHEM and love that my stuff is at least somewhat organized. There is a Good quality Eco friendly.

👤I don't like my notebooks. My husband might call it something else. My expectations were exceeded by these notebooks. They are amazing, even though they cost $2 each. I tried out all my usual pens and they exceeded expectations. I don't see much feathering with my fountain pen. It was also little to no ghosting. The dot grid is a nice grey and the corners are rounded. These notebooks are very good.

👤The paper is rough. I blended my tombow brush pens with the grey paint pen and found some bleed-through on them. The paper did warp, but it was modest with water color markers, and fast absorption made it harder to work with them. There is a bleed-through also happened in fountain pens with several inks. I think this paper may be useless with a darker ink such as iroshizuku take-sumi. The grid is grey and 5mm. The width is slightly below the a5 standard at 140mm. The cover of a travelers notebook should survive long term, even though it may have some issues. The spine should last a long time. There were 15 sheets in the notebook. The paper isn't called Tomoe River or Clairefontaine. It is not as resistant as smooth. The amount of bleeding and feathering is the same as 52gsm Tomoe. The price of these notebooks is much less than before.

👤I carry a bullet journal with me most of the time. They are holding up well so far. There is no branding or anything, and I like the simplicity. I like drawing on the cover of each to identify something in my collection. I feel like the price was fair compared to competitors, and have no complaints about this product thus far. I have carried Field Notes in the past, and had no complaints about the quality, but I found their price to be ridiculously high for what they are. There is a I would recommend them for journaling. 👤I have been looking for a fountain pen friendly paper that would not cost me an arm or a leg and this is it. I have tried various sizes of nibs and none have bled through the paper. This is expected for paper of this thickness. There is a I think this is a good deal. A pack of 6 at 30 sheets per booklet costs $12.98 and is a total of 60 pages. I don't think these will be used for journaling. They don't have enough sheets in a booklet to cover a 31 day month, but note taking works fine for me. Overall does a great job.

I am giving it four stars because the pocket at the back of the journal has a small bent corner from the packaging. It was disappointing to unpackage it and see that it already had an issue, but luckily the minor issue doesn't compromise the function of the pocket. I would have liked to have known the line spacing of the journal, but I couldn't find it in the description. I would have liked to know the line spacing before I bought it.

👤The lines on the pages are slightly different from a normal notebook, leaving each page with less lines. There is no discernable top line, which is standard. All the lines are the same. I have only used the first 10 pages, but it has been difficult to use the space near the binding. It doesn't open all the way. The conclusion is that there is a better place to go for cheaper. I liked the color and the recycled paper factor, but I wouldn't buy this again. Go for a bargain.

I bought these because of the promise that you could lay it open flat without fighting with it, like I did in my previous notebook. I decided to use one of the notebooks for notes in a different class. It is amazing! It is fun to decorate the front. One of my favorite things about being a person who likes to use colors and decorate my notes is that the pages barely bleed when using black sharpie. It is a really good deal for the amount of notebooks you get because of the nice lines. I spent $4 on a full sized notebook from Five Star Brand, but it isn't as good as the smaller ones. I will probably order again when I run out. I am glad I didn't return it because it wasn't what I ordered. It is nice to have a good quality notebook to consolidate thoughts and take notes.
