Best Eco Friendly Resin Epoxy

👤I liked the short review. It works well. I've tried a lot of different things. Some works well, some works well, and others are bad. Craft Resin is one of my favorites right now. It mixes easily. It cures in a timely manner. It's clear. And most importantly? It's completely devoid of bubbles. The only other brand that seems to be this easy to get rid of bubbles isSophie and Toffees 3-1, which takes longer to cure, and is more expensive. There is a There are only a few problems with craft resin. A. The jar doesn't have a bigger size and the lid doesn't have a nozzle. It's a little harder to pour. Most jars have the same issue.

It comes with clear instructions and seems to work well on the tumblers that I have recently created. I put it on a cutting board and it worked well. The product was easy to work with, but a little thicker than I was used to. Customer service is excellent. I got a lesson on the chemistry of the material. Too much mixed at the same time. You're asking for disaster.

👤It worked out great. I made the mistake of not reading the instructions online before purchasing the product, so here are a few things to know. It must be used in an environment that is at least 75 degrees for the full 72 hour curing period. I bought it in March. I had to crank my heat up high in order to make sure it set properly. The product can only tolerate temperatures up to 135 degrees after curing. It's not ideal for countertops, which is what I purchased it for. There is a different formula that can be used for that purpose, and it will last up to 500 degrees. I need to add a final coat anyway, so I'll just purchase the countertop epoxy to add as a final clear coat on top. Even though both bottles contain roughly half a gallon, you need to measure them out even if you plan on using the entire contents. I suspect that the problem was with the mixture setting. The perfect amount for a gallon was 3oz.

I had to line the tops with plastic wrap and screw on the lid to get a tight fit because the poorly made lids never screwed on tightly again after the first use. 👤There is one star across the board. This is a huge waste of money. I can't sell pieces that don't cure, it's tacky and bendy, and it doesn't cure properly. I know how to use it. I mix well, I measure well, and still I feel like I throw pieces down the drain. I waste more than I use, and when I screw pieces in, it splits open. I am very unhappy with this price. I will stick with my brand.

I should have put on my own gloves, not the ones that came with the package. I trusted the process. The pictures I am attaching are of my hands. I have never had a reaction like this before. The crystal clear coating on the tumbler made everything worse. When the bottom layers cracked, I added the second layer, sanded it with 800 and 1000 grit, applied the decals, and added my final pour with the heat gun. I tried to sand down the cracks so I could add another layer to fix the tumbler, but it started chipping off. I only used 1000 grit. There is no reason for it to have such a light touch. There was a huge chunk that came off the tumbler. This was a complete cure. I read through questions on here this morning and saw that the resin can only handle a certain amount of heat. I hope that is Celsius because the room temp in Fahrenheit is warmer. While setting up, the resin gets hotter than that. Even if it is Celsius, it is only 140F. How could a mug of freshly poured coffee be set down on a coaster made from this? I saw the questions about BPA, but they have to be requested. It is not readily available to the consumer like many other brands. Then came the questions about food safety. How can anyone say that it is safe once cured when the FDA has not approved it? Both cured and uncured forms of the same substance have to be safe to eat. It's one thing to have some contact with food, but it's another thing to make and use a cutting board from non-FDA approved material. The meat will end up in the body with little pieces of the substance. There is a I would not have purchased it the second time if I had paid more attention to the first time I bought it. I will only use my favorite, completely BPA-free, resin going forward. The purchase cost, the time lost, the doctor's bills, medication, pain and suffering, along with a wasted tumbler, made this resin not worth any of it. It is not safe because you cannot smell it. Please do more research.

There is a Drys with no tacky finish are rock hard. You can work faster if you are able to evaporate within an 8-hour window. I had to wait before you finished the product. Pieces are shining and not requiring buffing. There was nothing sticking to my mold. There is a I was happy to find this product. Excited to know that gallon sizes will be available soon. Making my life simpler. I would recommend buying the 32 ounce until you can get the gallon size. There is no need to test on the 16 ounces. It will be worth your time and money. 👤This is not a typical epoxy I use. It was more budget friendly than some brands. It mixes very easily. I used this in one of my builds to make three spalted beechwood shelves with a blue tinted river running down the center. The pictures I listed with it showed it to be stunning. It is easy to clean up. I use a glass container and wipe out the container with lysol cleaning wipes which break down the epoxy easily. It doesn't have anything at all. It arrived safely and was shipped quickly. There are foil seals under the caps. Depending on the heat and humidity, it cured in a half a day. Due to heat, the pour is no thicker than 1:4. I was able to pour 1/2” without an issue in my house. The bubbles were easily popped with a torch. You could use a lighter. If you want to save money, give this a try. It worked just as well as the more expensive brands and is just as easy to use.

You are trying to get off something with a sticky glue. Water doesn't work for clean up. It's just a fact. It gets off your skin pretty well. Not all of it. There are two more It's important to mix the product for the right amount of time and dump it in a second container. Don't skip this step. It is annoying but you need to do it. Even if you use an electric mixer, it will still generate a lot of bubbles. If you want glass smooth, stick to a paint mixing stick. Make sure you keep the sides and bottom of your bucket clean. It is best not to use a mixing container with corners, stick to a bucket, or something that is circular because it has wax on it. There are 3 more If you don't pour enough, you're trying to drag the Epoxy across the surface and it won't cover evenly. The foam roller is great for spreading the Epoxy evenly, but it will absorb a lot of the resin. It's good if you are doing a lip or edge. You can get away with it. I use a scraper. That works well as well. There are five I didn't need to use a torch or heat gun because I didn't have many bubbles. I like to use a heat gun instead of a blowtorch because I feel like the heat gun doesn't get as hot as the blowtorch but it pops the bubbles well enough and you don't run the risk of scorching your Epoxy as much. 6) If you mix paint with your resin, make sure it is Acrylic. You can use spray paint. That works well with the material. Don't leave metallic paint in the bucket for too long if you decide to use it. For whatever reason, I left a bucket of spray paint mixed in and sitting for a little too long and it got too hot and bubbled up and started melting my bucket. Just a heads up about that. Don't leave the container for too long. 7) Prepare your surface. My countertops were made of laminate. I applied a primer coat after I sanded that well. Allow that to dry completely. It worked well. I was a total beginner when I started and learned a few things along the way that might help people like me. Let sit for a while. I learned the hard way that if the resin is too cold, it won't mix with the hardener properly, and the result is a sticky mess. I found this tip after watching a lot of tube videos. Warming it up helps remove the bubbles. There are two more The ratio is important. I didn't think adding a bit more hardener would make much of a difference. It does. The result was tacky. There are 3 more For at least a few minutes. It feels like forever as you mix, but I found the longer I mixed, the more consistent my results became as I mixed fifteen cups in two weeks. The only way to do that was to apply it as it turns.

👤I purchased this product because I knew there could be some mica in the packaging. I was already planning on giving all the jars a wipe down because my box wasn't too bad, but I would imagine it is hard to contain finely milled mica. I didn't think the dust was coming from one jar as it was multicolored on my hand and all of the jars were full. I read the reviews and thought it was a great deal because I hate the little bags of mica. The quality of the jars is good. Some of the colors are more glittery and less opaque, which is fine with me because they are still beautiful colors. I made a swatch of what each color would look like in the new material. I noticed that the package of the micas wasn't sealed and that the inside of the box was covered in the mica. The top was still on when I first looked at the container, but it was 888-353-1299 The one thing that really broke the camels back was the fact that some of the container were only half way filled and not open, which was a big problem as most of them were full. I hope that the company can fix this problem so that it doesn't happen to anyone in the future.

👤It seems that mixing batches less than 40 liters has a lot of bubbles, but if you put the cup in the hot water for 5 minutes, it will clear it up. Many bubbles don't seem to come from mixing batches larger than 40 liters. Small batches give me almost an hour of work time before it starts to solidify. After a couple hours of use, it had a low to no odor, but did get a few headaches. I used proper safety equipment like a painter's mask. Proper safety equipment should be used.

If you want to do floral patterns or use it for other purposes, I would recommend letting it sit for a while. This is great for dirty pour designs for agate crystals.
