Best Eco Friendly Sunscreen Reef Safe Spf 50

👤I've used this before and have never had a problem. My whole family is burned badly, so this last batches must have been bad. We used it within a few days of delivery, so it wasn't old and we were not sitting around. We are in pain after the beach day and I wanted to include some pictures of us in my family. Was it sitting in the warehouse too long, or was it the wrong temp? After this, I don't know if I can ever trust it again.

It is likely not vegan due to the presence of beeswax, stearates and glycerine. The lower SPFs seem to be okay. I'm just letting you know that the issues seem to be more clear on the Amazon page, but I'm not sure if they're important to you.

I got home with zero sunburn, I didn't hurt the environment in Hawaii, a little goes a long way, and this stuff didn't, so I really like the product. Each of the four things I like is worth at least a star and a half so five stars as far as I'm concerned.

👤Went to the Caribbean for a week. I burned so badly, my body was swollen, and I was miserable, even though I used 50+ protection. The horrible smell and taste of every other sunscreen I have used did not go away if it got near my mouth or nose. This sunscreen works. There is no bad smell or taste. It is safe for sea life, and the water does not affect its effectiveness, so I like that. I rubbed it in a bit more to regain the natural look after I left it a bit white on my nose and shoulders. If your skin is not conditioned for high level sun, you should apply every 4 hours.

I have never gotten sunburnt while wearing it, but I do reapply it every hour and a half to two hours depending on what I am doing. My husband and I are going on a week-long beach vacation, only taking carry-on bags, and need sunscreen, so I was excited to find small travel size bottles of it. We fit 20 bottles in a quart size bag, which is equivalent to two standard 8oz bottles. See the pictures for reference. One of us will bring a quart size bag of toiletries with us, the other will have everything else. I am very happy with my purchase. There is an edit. We bought a pack of bottles.

I'm a fair skinned redhead. That's saying something. The travel size was great. 👤I think this is one of the best sunscreens out there, as you don't really need anything more than SPF30 for effectiveness. The spf30 doesn't feel heavy on your skin, and it spreads quickly. I use this frequently because I live in a place where there is plenty of sun. It doesn't sting as much when it runs in your eyes as some other sunblocks. I like having these scattered around where I get dressed for the day, so I remember to apply, if just a little bit.

The smaller size was perfect for my day pack because the cream stayed on well and it was smooth. I applied to the exposed areas after showering in the morning. It spreads well. I rubbed in any white zinc that didn't immediately absorb it. You can see water beaded up on my leg. I used one tube every 5 days. The product is reef safe. Mahalo.

👤Had to get an animal. Friendly sunscreen for snorkling in the Caribbean but didn't want a big bottle or tube. Is thicker than usual and takes more. I'm not sure how well it worked as I still have a lot of freckles, but it was on a longsleeve UV protection shirt, so I'm not sure how much it helped on legs. It's not possible to get simolar prodicts for less at local stores.

👤The scent is nice, but that is all I can say about this product. I scrubbed my skin off with my towel/water and used something else. I tried it twice and it burned both times. I felt like a sunburn because my skin felt dry from the burning and scrubbing. I have no idea how well it works to prevent sunburn. I don't have sensitive skin. Most products don't bother me. It doesn't soak in like a zinc-based cream.

👤I purchased this product because I wanted to help protect the reef. It didn't work as a sunscreen. If you rubbed it in and zinc oxide was applied as directed, it would not block the sun, but it would prevent it from setting. I walked on the beach for an hour and everywhere I applied sunscreen, it was burnt. It was worse than had I worn nothing. It might work better as tanning oil because of the coconut oil, avocado oil, andShea butter in it. I can't recommend this product.

When you leave it in a cold car, you have to warm it up to make it soft. It's ready to go when I get to my destination because I put it next to my tush and used my car seat heater. This product is really good.

It's a little hard to apply, but also why it stays on so well. I highly recommend this product if you need to protect your face.

👤I couldn't find the Australian made sunscreen so I bought this. For a long time, I had grown to rely on it. I bought a few other sun pastes. She is the best. It blends in well with my skin because it is smooth. I have to have complete coverage because I spend a lot of time in the ocean. It is not sticky like other sunscreens and I really like that about it as I have to clean the goop off the interior of my car and anything else that comes in contact with the sticky sunscreens. It has six all-natural ingredients. Great product!

👤I surf for hours on end. I usually use surf yogis which is a similar product with the same ingredients but it will stay on for long sessions. This stuff does not. It is very soft and can be wiped off. I like the ingredients but they need to be reformulated to stick more. During short sessions, it doesn't last that long. I wouldn't recommend using this to surf. It has a great chocolate smell and would be good for chillin on the beach.

The original review I wrote was from Massachusetts. I ordered this because of the outstanding reviews. I am suspicious of it before I try it. It smells like chocolate and has the texture of lip balm. I don't know how I'm supposed to apply this all over my legs and back. I will smell like chocolate. I thought it would smell like the ocean. I am not sure if I will get this back. I spent 40 dollars on 2 and couldn't believe how small it was. I might be used to large amounts of white lotion. The smell of chocolate is weird.

It almost feels like a really good primer and there is no cast to skin tone. The hype was earned.

I bought a sunblock from two other companies that weren't on the benzene-contamination list. Until a company says that they've tested for Benzene, I'm not really sure. The first company that does that will have my business for the rest of my life.

👤Even for an SPF30, this sunblock works great on a boat. The issue is that it is thick and you will look like a ghost after applying. At some point, you will have a ghost face. There is a It's worth it to look silly if it means this stuff is safe. I have found that mixing it on the palm of my hand with a finger helps to spread it out and keep the application thin. This one is so thick it doesn't take much to protect you from the sun. I read about the staining of clothes stuck with white, so I decided against the tinted version.

This product protects better than spray sunblock. It has no smell. It is not greasy and washes off well with soap. It's easy to apply on the skin. It rubs off on clothes and bathing suits and leaves you a bit white, but it lets you know if you missed a spot. I like it so much that I'm going to use it at home for gardening when I wear old cloths. I wouldn't wear it to a party. It was worth the higher price.

I was hesitant to use it at first as it was so different than other sun blocks I had used before, but now it is the only product I will use for sun protection. They list that none of these are in the product, but you will find that every one of them is on the not safe for the reef. Don't buy this and think you're doing something to the environment. I've used and liked the old formula of this sunscreen and reordered the same version. The formula and packaging have changed. I would not have ordered it because it is now 100% mineral. It is definitely a different product and they should have created a new listing for it. It is very confusing and annoying. I will use it on my kids as they don't mind a white cast, so I won't have to go back.
