Best Eco Friendly Trash Bags 13 Gallon

👤We've been buying the major brands of trash bags for a while but one day I saw Seventh Generation on sale. I decided to try it. I'm very happy I did. Our main complaint is how frail the trash bags are. They are very easy to put in the trash can. They are my go to for that. I was surprised by the reviews of other people. We did not experience any unpleasant odors. I'm not sure if they bought a scented one or the standard one.

👤They are a crappier version of the not/less eco-friendly version. The bags tear through normal use and are a pain to put in the can. They haven't burst yet, but there are always holes, and sometimes I have to carry it out in a cart for fear it will burst. There is a They are better for the environment. If these bags go to a landfill, they would give off methane which is a very powerful greenhouse gas, so it would be worse for the environment. Should these fail, I bought these to line my kitchen trash with grocery store paper bags. I haven't had to do that yet. I haven't had a bag break yet, but I am about half way through the box. I tend to handle them with care and don't toss them around as much as I might have done with the old school plastic bags. I put them in the curbside barrel after lifting them out of the kitchen barrel. I'm not sure if they would survive being thrown, but I'm willing to live with it. The top of the bag is cut at a straight line making it difficult to tie the top shut. If you added a drawstring or a rippled top to the design, it would greatly improve it. This product is cost friendly and effective, so I highly recommend it to anyone.

I've never had an issue with leaking with any ecofriendly garbage bag, I think it's a function of how much garbage is being stuffed into a single bag. That seems to solve all of the potential issues that might come from someone not understanding the heat/liquid capabilities of the bags - you can't control your guests/ kids. I did not have the issue of pre-composting, but I did have an issue with keeping the bag in the trash can without collapsing inside, the bag simply did not fit in the 13 gallon trash can I have. If the design was better and better suited to being used in my trash can, I would recommend these, but as they are right now, I can not.

👤Hefty's quality standards have gone downhill, or this item is some kind of imitation or damaged goods that the stores declined. I've had the Hefty Ultra Strong Tall Kitchen bags on my subscription for a while. The box I received 2 weeks ago was smaller in diameter than before and it was hard to get around the rim of my trashcan. The sleeve on the last box didn't connect... The bag is folded over and the blue drawstring is pinned on either end. They are supposed to be the strongest with flex, but that doesn't seem to be working anymore, they just rip. Very disappointed. I might buy a box from the grocery to see if they still have good quality Hefty products. I guess Hefty won't be my go-to anymore.
