No delay, no holding the wallet in a weird way, or opening it up to get the reader to recognize my badges and open the door. I know a bit about this because I am an engineer that works with and designs RF technology. There are many materials that can interfere with RF transmissions. They're not lying if they say it's made with a material that affects RF. I mean. RF can be interfered with by your hand. They are misleading us to believe that this is a way to prevent would-be thieves from using RF technology to steal from you. The claim to be an ultra thin and compact wallet is not as big of a deal. I don't like having stuff in my pockets. I've tried many different types of minimalist wallet and only have a few keys on my keychain. I wanted to make the switch from a small-ish Dockers wallet that can be had from any department store for under $30 so I could downsize, upgrade quality, and have a little piece of mind for the extremely unlikely event that someone waves a magic RF reader wand over my bum to steal I moved 9 cards and 4 cash bills over to this Bellroy and it is not thinner. It's the same thickness and length as my old JC Penney cheapo wallet, but it has an increase in width and length. All of this was said. It seems like it will hold up well, and it does feel nice. Don't expect your wallet thickness to be halved by changing to this one, and don't waste your money on the RFID version. If you have a grandpa wallet with a membership card and receipt from the last decade, they won't fit. If you buy this with the expectation that it'll be a nice wallet, then go for it, but look for the cheaper one that doesn't have the blocking. I'll be returning this because of false advertising.

After putting my cards in the wallet, it was almost as thick as my tri-fold, and the slot on the left where I kept my drivers license gave little exposure to the license for you to pull it out. They made it harder for me to get a drivers license because I use a credit card. The secret to fitting so many cards into this wallet is to have a couple of slots on the right hand side for a few cards, but then you have to cram all the rest in a single pocket behind the drivers license. I had 4 cards in there and I had to pull out all of them to find the one I wanted. The build quality reminded me of what I would find in a department store and I don't think it was all that. I paid a lot for it, so the build quality is not what I expected. I had to return it and go back to my old tri-fold until I could find something better.

👤I don't like thick wallet in my pocket so I carry this. Since there are so many credit card pockets, they should allow just a little extra room for the thickness of multiple cards. It's difficult to get the cards out for use. The ID pouch is the most difficult to get out because of its small size. The wallet is not metal detector friendly. I have had other wallets that were blocking the metal detectors at work. Not so with this one.
