Best Eco Friendly Weed Killer Concentrate

👤This is a good product. This isn't designed for ant hills. It is a product designed to prevent insects from entering your home. It is made for those solo runners that snuck in when you weren't looking. If you have a mess or an insect problem, they are living in it. If it was sprayed around the house like the floors were being watered, it would work on the pests, but it wasn't designed for that use and was tested for human/ animal exposure. Call an insect removalist if you have colonies, groups of insects, etc. Either remove the ant hills or buy poison for them. Are there hills in your home? It seems like a different problem. 👤I've owned this for a long time. 12 months. And it works! The way you use it depends on how well it works. I spray it on the baseboards of my home. During the summer, we live in a wooded area and sometimes German roaches are found inside. When this is sprayed as a barrier, I find dead roaches on the backs of people. If I find one alive and spray it, you have to kill it before it dies. It doesn't work for on-contact because it takes a while for the poison to kill the bugs. If it died on contact, I would give it 5 stars.

👤The Howard Orange Oil Furniture Polish and Cleaner is great. The front doors of my house are dry and sun bleached. I stained them about 10 years ago but there was no varnish or sealant on top. The sun sets in the morning. The doors are covered by the porch covering. I ordered this orange oil to try and recondition the wood before I use a gel stain or Howard Restore-a-Finish. The plan was for me to use my palm sander and wipe it down. The floor plate was sanded. I put on a lint-free towel and wiped it clean with orange oil. The wood looked great. I decided to try to wipe down one door without sanding it, because I took a leap of faith. The wood drank up the oil and looked great. It came back to life! I was very happy with how it turned out. I decided to sand and wipe the wooden chair down after 30 minutes. I don't think I need to sand it. Oh well. The chair looks good. Laughing about how good it looks. I will be staining the doors soon. I will probably stain the chair as well, but for now it looks better than it did. $8 bucks? I only used half of the bottle. Tonight I am going to clean my cabinets. I will keep you updated if things change.

👤I just bought some expensive solid wood furniture and I was looking for furniture polish that would match it and I found Orange Oil wood polish. The shine on this product would dry up and you would end up looking like you didn't do anything at all. The furniture polish I bought at the grocery store was not good. Heard about Howard products and tried them. Wow! This works well, not as greasy, and the shine lasts. I apply with a soft cloth and allow to sit for a few hours, then buff out with another clean cloth and the shine is still there. I have stopped using the orange glow and Pledge oil and will only use Howard's.

The Howard Orange Oil is not made from vegetable oils. There is a I did some research after writing this. I have always gotten my Howard Orange Oil from the same place as I had gotten it through Amazon, but they now have the same product. I asked if they had changed the formula. Yes, they have. The state of CA sued because orange oil has too many Volatile Organic compounds. The original product has been discontinued because it is now illegal to add orange oil to cleaning products in most states. 3% of orange oil is allowed. If we want, we can use aroma therapy grade orange oil. I bought some of the original at the store. It must have been the last stock they had. I would have bought everything on the shelf if I had realized. There is a Since Howard's person gave me a hint about aroma therapy oil, I checked to see if it was available in bulk. It is. You can get a Gallon of oil for 32.99) on Amazon and it's free to ship. I think it's over $4 for 16 ounces. I paid $10 for a gallon of gas. I am going to order pure orange oil from now on.

👤I take pride in protecting my lawn. I have to mix up different chemicals to kill weeds. At the end of the herbicides, I always add a blue dye and a surfactant. The weed killer sticks to the leaves of the weeds with the help of the surfactant. It's helpful when spraying poison ivy. It is easy to see where I have sprayed the mix because it sticks and the final solution is blue. I haven't seen any instances in which I would not use this product. It's not necessary to make your herbicide soapy to stick to the plants. While dish soap can be used, it tends to form bubbles in the sprayer tank when you stir it up. This has worked better for me. In a pinch, you can use dish soap.

Follow directions to apply to the DAMP lawn. I usually water my grass for 20 minutes in the evening. Apply to a damp lawn. Water your lawn before applying. I didn't apply this product to a damp lawn after using it before.

Within 24 hours, the dandelions, chickweed and parasites were knocked out. Within 48 hours, my grass greened up. Keep an eye on the liquid level while applying and follow instructions. I watered my lawn for 15 minutes around 5 am, then let it sit for an hour so it wasn't over saturated, and then applied the product using my Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader at the recommended setting. Within three days, "Death" appeared in the form of a dead lawn. Don't buy if you're warned. If Scotts returned my money for the product, it wouldn't be enough to compensate for the money I have to put to return my grass to its previous state.

👤I am not going to show you how many buggies were stuck onto this. It is sticky. There are two things to note. It doesn't attract the bigger black flies, but fruit flies love it. 2. The root of your problem is not solved by this. The little guys hatch quickly and are still in the soil. It will get to be an eye sore in your plant, no matter how many come, because not all will fly into it. It looks gross in a plant. Eggs will keep getting laid and obviously hatching if you have a lot of bugs stuck to this thing. I read online that you have to put a bunch of pebbles on top of the soil to smother the soil so the eggs will die and no more can be laid. That and this sticky guy should do the trick. You need the rocks. I tried it with rocks and it worked.

👤If you're trying to solve the problem with these alone, it won't work. You're going to have a fresh crop of adults in a few days because the larvae has already been laid. If you want to kill the larvae on your plants, you should water them with a mixture of water and peroxide. Future eggs will not develop in the sand. The sticky traps should be used until every adult is dead. It's a good thing.

I don't want to do the homework to see if it works, unless I hear other wise from the guy with the truck and the hose. The littlepods are convenient. You open the pack and throw a Pod. It was easy. The liquid product can be kept in a separate place from the septic tank saver. I wouldn't use it to bake a cake, no one wants that. I would most likely buy a measuring cup on Amazon, and there would be another review by a bored retiree. I like to save time wherever I can and I like to be easy. It's a good investment and very easy to use if you can take it on faith that the product is effective without climbing into the depths of your poop tank. If you have teens at home, you want to keep these in your safe. You don't know about kids today.

👤I have killed a lot of Poison Oak with this stuff, so I want to give it 5 stars. "Kills the roots, guaranteed!" is what it says on the bottle. It doesn't. Any leaf that I spray is dead. Most small plants are killed by that. A plant of medium size may need to be sprayed again after a few weeks. A plant with gusto can grow new leaves 4 times. I just have to spray it and the leaves will die. The roots die after the plant gives up. The roots don't die from the poison ivy alone, they die from lack of leaves. The optimal time for spraying is April through July. This stuff is magic. I can point my wand at any plant I want. They put a "guarantee" on the bottle that isn't true.

If it rains, it will be great. To early to turn on the sprinkler system, hoping that Mother Nature will give them the right amount of water. I am doing a rain dance. Will know in 3-4 days if this product did anything to green up the lawn. We will see if this product protects the lawn when the dandelions show up in planter beds. Other Scotts with Weed Control have failed in the past.

Even though my spreader is brand new, I checked the adjustment before applying it.

I can spray an area and not have to trim it for the rest of the summer. Liquid weed-trimmer goodness. There is a I also hate "Because Monsanto" but whattayagonnado? I buy it and it works, I lose part of my soul.

👤The liquid is a plant killer. I don't like to use sprays in the yard. We had to take out a section of weeds in order to plant flowers. It took two days to kill all the weeds that were too many to pull up. If you spray the leaves, it will work. The battery operated sprayer makes application easy. You can plant non-edible plants after 3 days according to the instructions. I don't think inhaling it directly will lower your IQ because it smells terrible for a few days.

👤It is very frustrating that I tried to use this for the first time. I followed all the directions, but the pump wouldn't work because I was in the "on" position. I looked on-line for trouble shoot and tried re-priming as suggested on the manufacturer's website. There is still nothing. I discovered the problem after going over it bit by bit. The tubing is not connected to the wand in a straight line. The consumer can't get to this area. I was able to pull out the white tubing but it still doesn't come out in a spray. There is more of a drip. I don't know if it's a design flaw or a defect. I spent over an hour on a project that should have taken less than 10 minutes.

👤It says it will kill. Things died. He said it was ready to use. I used it after taking it out of the box. I don't understand what people don't like about this. If you want something that is ready to use and will keep stuff.

👤The picture is what tells it all. The weeds/crabgrass in the before picture was twice the size of the original one. It was easy to remove since it was dead.

👤I originally rated this 5 stars because it was a great idea. If you need to treat certain areas, use the necessary part of the bottle. It is easier to mix, fill, and pump it up than it is to clean it out. It only worked the first and second time. It acts like it is stuck. I tried to use it and it didn't work. I ran clear water through the tube that draws fluid out of the bottle and took off the spray unit. When I put it back onto the bottle, it just keeps getting bigger.

👤The wand system needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. The spray is not strong enough because of the pressure. The wand stops working. The wand stops working when the liquid in the container is finished, so you can never use all the product. You have to decide what to do with the rest of the Roundup. I started pouring it on the weeds after opening the top because I was so frustrated. The weeds are killed by the chemical. The container is the subject of my review.
